Medical Bill Saver can identify billing and claims processing errors, which could reduce your out-of-pocket expenses. Representatives can also help negotiate provider charges, which can be another source of savings.
  • How do I use this benefit?

Once you receive a medical or dental bill with a remaining balance over $400 which is not covered by your insurance plan, call the number on the back of your membership card. • Who will I speak with when I call?

CAREGIVER SUPPORT

Caregiver Support - Care Companions

Serving as a caregiver for a loved one is as stressful as it is rewarding. Care Companions powered by Papa helps reduce the stress of caregiving by sending thoroughly vetted helpers (called Papa Pals) who can provide companionship and assistance with transportation, household chores, technology lessons, and more, all while giving you a much needed break. Rather than having to take off work or miss an event due to your caregiving responsibilities, you can request a Papa Pal to drive your loved one to a doctor's appointment, do some light house cleaning, or simply spend a couple hours talking and visiting.

  • Papa Pals can be requested for $18 an hour, with the option of having the same companion for each visit
  • Papa Pals undergo a rigorous vetting and onboarding process, including background check, personality profile, car inspection, and training (only 15% who apply are accepted)
  • Papa Pals can take notes of their visit and report back to you as requested, from behavior to state of the home to instructions from the doctor

Caregiver Support - Connected Caregiving

Taking care of a parent, grandparent, sibling, or child with disabilities can be incredibly rewarding, but also incredibly stressful. Especially if you're working a full-time job on top of coordinating doctor's visits, calling family members, and sifting through piles of paperwork. Connected Caregiving by alska (“love” in Swedish) empowers you to efficiently manage caregiving responsibilities through an all-in-one web-based platform for storing important documents, coordinating with care team members, and sharing updates with family.

  • Share updates and delegate tasks to family, healthcare professionals, teachers, and other members of the care team
  • Get unlimited email support from professional patient advocates and access to virtual support groups and live education webinars for a range of topics
  • Keep track of appointments and medications using the interactive calendar
  • Securely store documents and information in the alska vault, including prescriptions, advance directives, biometrics, insurance cards, lab results, and directions for care after a surgical procedure
